
Wisconsin men’s tennis signs three

Badgers add Nuzhny, Pratt and Soha for Class of 2018
MADISON, Wis. – Head men's tennis coach Danny Westerman announced Wednesday that high school seniors Daniel Nuzhny, Jared Pratt and Lenard Soha have signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Wisconsin and play tennis for the Badgers beginning in the fall of 2018.
"Scoville Jenkins (associate head coach) and I are extremely excited about this class," Westerman said. "We signed three quality student athletes that care a tremendous amount about both their academics and tennis. We feel all three players will be strong impact players for our team immediately and we cannot wait to start working with them."
Daniel Nuzhny
5-11, 150
Fort Lee, New Jersey (Dwight-Englewood School)
A five-star recruit from Fort Lee, New Jersey, Daniel Nuzhny comes to Wisconsin as the No. 39 recruit in the nation according to TennisRecruiting.net. Nuzhny has put together a record of 50-25 on the USTA circuit and a decorated prep career at Dwight-Englewood School. He is a three-time All-Patriot selection, adding second-team all-state honors in 2017 after losing just one match all season.
Jared Pratt

Charleston, South Carolina (Bishop England High School)
The nation's 20th-ranked player according to TennisRecruiting.net, Jared Pratt comes to Madison from Charleston, South Carolina. A Blue Chip talent, Pratt has an overall record of 56-14 on the national circuit, including a mark of 19-8 against fellow five-star recruits. In 2016, Pratt recorded a sixth-place singles finish and second place in doubles at the USTA National Championships in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This season, Pratt has won the Sanlando Park National L3 in Altamonte Springs, Florida, USTA National L2 Tournament in Rome, Georgia and USTA Southern L1A Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a prep, Pratt helped lead Bishop England High School in Daniel Island, South Carolina to the 2015 state championship, the school's first title since 1997. He was named to the All-Low Country Team in each of his first three seasons while playing No. 1 singles and doubles. Born in Chicago, Pratt lived in Middleton, Wisconsin until the age of 10 before moving to South Carolina.
Lenard Soha
6-2, 185
Berlin, Germany
A native of Budapest, Hungary, Lenard Soha now calls Berlin, Germany his home. A highly-touted prospect, Soha owns a 30-25 singles record on the ITF circuit, including a mark of 7-4 this season. He climbed as high as No. 308 on the ITF rankings and currently holds a Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) rating of 13.53. In February, Soha reached the finals of the junior ITF singles tournament in Hamburg, Germany.
