MADISON, Wis -- Wisconsin women's soccer's thrilling upset win over No. 11 Penn State is the gift that just keeps giving, as
Caitlyn Clem was named the Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week and
Cameron Murtha was named the Co-Freshman of the Week for their stellar game performances.
Murtha, a freshman from Kensington, Maryland, had the lone goal in the Badgers' victory over the Nittany Lions, marking her fifth goal of the season and third in conference play.Â
Clem stopped both shots she faced from the Nittany Lions to earn her ninth shutout of the year. She was also the Badgers' last Big Ten Player of the Week on Sept. 19.Â
The UW duo played major roles in Wisconsin's first victory over Penn State since 2011 and just the fourth overall. This also marked the second top-15 win for the Badgers this season.Â
