• Wisconsin and LSU's meeting was the first major college football game in the history of Lambeau Field, and the first college game of any kind since NCAA Division III St. Norbert faced Fordham in 1983.
• Attendance for the first Lambeau Field College Classic presented by Carmex was 77,823.
• Wisconsin has now won 17 of last 19 season openers, snapping a two-game losing streak
• UW scored its first win over a team ranked in the top 5 of the AP poll since downing No. 1-ranked Ohio State on Oct. 16, 2010.
• Wisconsin also notched its first win over an SEC opponent in a regular-season game.
• The Badgers rallied from a 14-13 fourth-quarter deficit to pull out the win, marking the third fourth-quarter comeback win in the
Paul Chryst era. UW also erased 21-20 deficits last season against Nebraska (10/10/2015) and USC (12/30/15).
• UW surrendered just 257 total yards of offense to LSU, the Badgers' fewest allowed away from home since holding Purdue to 230 yards on Nov. 8, 2014 in West Lafayette, Ind.
• Wisconsin held LSU to 7 total yards in the first quarter, outgaining the Tigers 119-7. UW held a 13:07 to 1:53 edge in time of possession in the first quarter.
• The Badgers limited the Tigers to 64 total yards on 21 plays in the first half, outgaining LSU 180-64.
• Wisconsin owned a decided advantage in time of possession, holding the ball for 36:57 compared to just 23:03 for LSU.
• UW held LSU to just 2-for-10 on third-down conversions.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES
• Senior
Bart Houston made the first start of his career at quarterback, going 19-for-31 for 205 yards. Houston posted the most passing yards in a Badgers starting debut since
Joel Stave threw for 210 yards against UTEP on Sept. 22, 2012. His 31 pass attempts are the most in an opening start since Dustin Sherer went 17-for-34 at Iowa on Oct. 18, 2008.
• Junior K
Rafael Gaglianone connected on a game-winning 47-yard field goal with 3:47 remaining in the game. This was his fourth-career game-winning kick, the most in UW history.
• Gaglianone finished 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, also finishing off 30-yard FG to open the scoring in the second quarter and a 48-yard kick in the final minute of the second quarter.
• Junior TE
Troy Fumagalli recorded a career-high 100 receiving yards on 7 receptions, averaging 14.3 yards per catch. Fumagalli is the first Badger tight end to eclipse the 100-yard mark since Lance Kendricks had 103 yards against Austin Peay on Sept. 25, 2010.
• Senior RB
Corey Clement carried a career-high 21 times for 86 yards. Clement scored the 22nd rushing touchdown of his career on a 5-yard score with 10:55 remaining in the third quarter The TD gave UW a 13-0 lead.
• Senior ILB
Jack Cichy posted a team-high 8 tackles, including one tackle for loss and a forced fumble.
• Junior OLB
T.J. Watt made a career-high 7 tackles.
• Sophomore ILB
Ryan Connelly made a career-high 7 tackles.
• Junior CB
Derrick Tindal recorded the first interception of his career, ending the first half with a pick of LSU QB Brandon Harris.
• Junior S
D'Cota Dixon tallied the first interception of his career, sealing the win with 57 secords remaining in the game.
• Senior OLB
Vince Biegel finished 4 tackles and recorded a sack, giving him 18.5 in his career.
• Junior
Alec James posted the second sack of his career on a 9-yard loss.
• Junior FB
Austin Ramesh recorded the first carries of his career, rushing 2 times for 10 yards. He also logged a catch for 11 yards, the fifth of his career.
• Sophomore FB
Alec Ingold made the first catch of his career, a 2-yard reception, on UW's final drive of the first half.
• Sophomore P/K
P.J. Rosowski shook off an early 22-yard punt and followed up with efforts of 51 and 49 yards on his next two kicks and finished with 4 punts going for an average of 40.8 yards per kick.

Jon Dietzen made his Badgers debut, playing left guard.

Quintez Cephus made his collegiate debut, lining up at wide receiver in the first quarter.

Tyler Johnson made his collegiate debut, appearing on the Badgers' kickoff return unit.

Zack Baun made hisBadgers debut, appearing on UW's punt return unit. Baun made his first career tackle in the second half.

A.J. Taylor made his UW debut and recorded the first touch of his career, taking a handoff on a jet sweep that lost 1 yard.
