MADISON, Wis. -- Tickets to Wisconsin's famous Grateful Red men's basketball student section went on sale Thursday, Sept. 15, at 7 a.m.

By 7:03 a.m., all 2,100 were gone in a record three-minute span.

With the sellout, the student section at the Kohl Center for Wisconsin basketball has completely sold out for 12 of the last 15 seasons.

However, a number of winter-break, three-game packages are still available for purchase for $30. This package includes the following games over UW's winter break: Dec. 23 vs. Florida A&M, Dec. 27 vs. Rutgers and Jan. 12 vs. Ohio State. This package is available until Sept. 23 at 4:30 p.m.  

Additionally, a UW student sale of single game tickets for the three games over winter break will start on Oct. 17.  Tickets are $11 each and students may purchase up to two tickets for each game.  

UW Students are also reminded that men's hockey student season tickets are currently on sale.  Become a "Crease Creature" and join the liveliest student section in college hockey.  All 20 home games are just $100, plus a $20 processing fee.

Additionally, the "Red Card" is also on sale and allows admission to over 80 home dates including soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, women's hockey, wrestling and softball for only $25.  UW Students can purchase the "Red Card" in person at the Wisconsin Athletic Ticket Office at Gate 1 of Camp Randall Stadium during normal business hours.
