Fans invited to join the 2016-17 Fan Advisory Board

Ticket holders and regular attendees at UW events invited to join
• APPLY FOR FAN ADVISORY BOARD
MADISON, Wis. -- In its continuing efforts to connect with Badgers fans, the UW Athletic Department is looking for ticket holders and athletic event attendees to be part of its Fan Advisory Board.
Now entering its fourth year, the Fan Advisory Board is designed to foster a productive dialogue between fans and UW Athletics. Members of the board have the opportunity to contribute ideas, opinions and feedback on a range of issues and topics.
Members of the Fan Advisory Board are able to provide feedback on presentations from department staff on a range of topics including gameday experience, concessions, customer service and other department policies and procedures.
The group also receives behind-the-scenes facility tours and will have the opportunity to take part in question and answer sessions. Past sessions have featured Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez, football coach Paul Chryst, volleyball coach Kelly Sheffield and others.
"The University of Wisconsin Fan Advisory Board is just one example of how the Athletic Department truly cares about the experiences of their fans across ALL sports. It was a privilege to serve on this board and learn more about the inner workings of the department while sharing my impressions and suggestions on a variety of wide-ranging topics. This board provides a unique opportunity for any Badger fan to contribute to the overall success of UW Athletics."

The Athletic Department is currently accepting applications for the 2016-17 Fan Advisory Board. Season ticket holders in any UW sport are strongly encouraged to apply. New this year, applications will be also accepted from non-season ticket holders who are regular Badger game attendees. Previous season ticket holders who dropped their season tickets recently are encouraged to apply as well.
While UW Students are eligible to apply, a separate UW Student Fan Advisory Board will be established this fall through a separate application process. Details on the UW Student Fan Advisory Board will be released later this summer.
Serving on the Fan Advisory Board is a great way to support the Wisconsin Athletic Department. The commitment is four meetings during the 2016-17 academic year held at exclusive locations within and around UW Athletics facilities. These meetings are a great way for members to share their opinions and perspectives, and develop recommendations in a focused, small group setting.
The deadline to apply is June 30, 2016. To apply, complete this online application.
