Head Coach Tony Granato
On Matt Jurusik's injury
"Yeah, obviously he left the ice in a lot of discomfort. The doctors will look at him in the morning. I would assume, I don't want to speculate on what it is, but obviously saw it's a lower body injury. So, hopefully, especially with how he started the game, he was probably the one guy that was sharp to start the game, which was what we were looking for tonight and it's disappointing that he's probably going to miss some time now."

On their lack of scoring tonight
"Well their goalie was outstanding. I think the start of the game was key. I think we came into the game with a game plan of trying to get into the offensive zone, establish forecheck. I don't think we got to that (in the) first period. They came out and won a lot of the races, won a lot of the one-on-one battles early in the game and they gained confidence. That team was possessed. They blocked a ton of shots. They were committed to finding a way to rebound from last night's loss, so I got to give them credit and I just wasn't happy with the way we started. I thought the first period kind of set the tone for how the game was going to be played. Obviously, the third period we had plenty of quality chances, but too little to late. You have to play 60 minutes at any level to be successful. So, for us, it's a growing process. I thought we would respond tonight after winning the last two and be ready from the get-go and we weren't. We fooled around with the lines there in the third period. I think that the lack of having practice time together with the units because of Frederic's injury was a little bit of a factor in this weekend, so we'll probably screw around with the lines a little bit this week to see if we can find a little better continuity as far as the line combinations go."

On Merrimack's forecheck and their neutral zone presence
"I saw a desperate team over there. That's what I saw. Like you said with the shot blocks, I don't know how many times they dove in front of our shots tonight, we didn't do a smart job of finding a way to get pucks through that a lot of times. Especially, from the point, and their goalie, when he had to make saves, he made four or five spectacular saves. So give them credit and for us again, it's a growing process. We have to learn from it. We have to understand that if we want to be an elite team, a team that consistently wins, you have to be ready at starts of games and tonight I'd say, you know first month and half, we were really happy with a lot of the progress we made. Today's one of the games where you walk away from it and you wish we did things a little bit differently. So, we'll get back to work on Monday, we'll address it and hopefully learn from what just happened."

On if there's something specific to work on in power play in practice this week
"Yeah, we might even fool around with the combinations a little bit. I think sometimes when you use the same players over and over sometimes it gets a little bit stale and you get a little bit flat footed, and then the recoveries aren't always there. So, when the puck is delivered to the net, you're not working to recover it as well as you are when you get with new units. So I think we might fool around with the combinations a little bit as well on power play. I don't think we got as many good looks on the power play as we had last night. Luke had four or five quality chances last night, normally two or three of those go in, and tonight he didn't have quite as many shots from that area. And again, they made some adjustments to make sure they could get in the shooting lanes and they were willing to block a lot of them."

On what areas the team was better in tonight and where they need to improve
"Areas to work on I just think the start of the game tonight was something that maybe, you know the success we had last night, we weren't sharp mentally to start the game. We want to grow and get better as a team, you have to learn and I think that that was a pretty good hockey team over there. Parts of the game last night we took control of, and parts of the game last night they took control of. Tonight's game when you start the game, and you're the road team and you have success in the first period, your confidence is there and they were desperate to get a split. I think we needed a little more desperation, especially early in the game to respond to how they came at us and we didn't get it until too late."

On Soleway's performance tonight
"He was fine. Jedd was fine. I think we're always looking for improvements and Jedd hasn't had a whole lot of games, but I thought he did fine and obviously we'll look at the film and see if there's things we can help him on improvement."

On the difference of Merrimack's play tonight compared to last night
"They were desperate, like I said. I think they gained a little bit of confidence last night with how they played around their net and defensively. Their goaltender gained a ton of confidence today. You know, we had four or five point blankers that he made great saves on and defensively they were willing to be in shot-block lanes. They made it hard for us, especially on the power play, I thought they got to the lanes really well and in college hockey, momentum changes fast and they came out of the gate and did a heck of a job controlling that whole first period. Once they got their lead, they stepped back and (played), I thought, pretty solid defensively."

On the turnover on the first goal
"Sure they did have some great chances. Matt (Jurusik) made three or four really good saves early when we were a little sloppy in d-zone as well. I thought that first period defensively we were on our heels and we weren't as sharp. I think it goes back to our game is getting on the attack and being good offensively. We never got a forecheck going so we spent a lot of time on our heels and in our own end and we got exposed there."

Junior captain forward Luke Kunin
On his opportunities tonight
"I think I should have had more chances throughout the game. I need to capitalize on those. It sucks when those don't go in but it happens."

On the opposing team's talent
"We don't focus on the other team's players. We're worried about our game and what we need to do to be successful. That's how we go into every game. How are the Badgers going to do? How are we going to execute our game plan? How are we going to get pucks and put them in the back of the net? It didn't happen for us tonight and that's on all of us. We have to get better and get back at it this week. Have to get back to playing the way we know."

On Merrimack making it harder for your team to operate tonight
"They were maybe a little tighter, but like I said, it was our game that didn't show up tonight. That showed."

Freshman goalie Jack Berry
On coming in after Matt Jurusik's injury
"Those situations are never easy to come into. You're thinking about him in the back of your head. The guys played well in front of me and limited the team to outside shots."

On his comfort level throughout the game
"There was tough bounce on the first one there but I thought the guys did a great job of keeping it out on the perimeter."
