Trask talks to UWBadgers.com after big win
Head coach John Trask
On snapping a two-game losing streak to Marquette:
"Any time you play a Wisconsin school it means a lot to all the players for both teams. It was a tough contest. We took our goal well. It was nice to see Mike (Catalano) get on the board and it was a great play by Mark (Segbers) and Brian (Hail) in the setup. We were resilient and that's part of being a good college soccer team. The games come fast and furious and sometimes you have to gut it out. Compliment Matej (Radonic) who came into a very difficult situation and played like a senior, he's been a starter in the past. He played wonderfully. Isaac Schlenker was also excellent in his hometown. Marquette is a good team but we did what we needed to win and it's another shut out for Philipp (Schilling) and the guys in the back. That has to make them feel good, especially in Sam's absence."

On three shutouts in a row:
"One thing I know about soccer is that if the other team doesn't score, the worst you can do is tie the game 0-0. I feel very good about our attack. We'll get our chances and we'll score goals. If we can have that type of resolute defending, it makes the offensive side a little easier. Our individual team defending was excellent again. Sam (Brotherton), who usually wins a lot of headers, a lot of other guys stepped up and won those battles. This should hopefully give us confidence going into a very difficult game against Michigan State in East Lansing."
