Happy Early Halloween Badger Fans!
 
Hope you are all excited for another weekend of Badger hockey as we travel to Mankato, Minnesota to take on the Minnesota State-Mankato Mavericks in a two game series Friday and Saturday at 2:07 p.m.
 
Last weekend the Badgers successfully swept North Dakota, beating the Fighting Hawks 2-0 on Saturday and 5-2 on Sunday.
 
Badgers senior Sarah Nurse dominated both games, tallying a total of five goals over the weekend. The assistant captain was all smiles in the locker room after.
 
The stellar weekend earned the superstar WCHA honors as offensive player of the week.
 
"It's very cool but it's definitely something that I couldn't have accomplished alone," Nurse mentioned. "My line mates had a lot of assists last weekend and Lauren's goal was able to take the momentum back away from them. There are a lot of moving parts and without them we wouldn't have been so successful up in North Dakota."
 
Congrats Nursey! We are all so proud of you.
 
With the upcoming Halloween holiday on the horizon, I decided to deter from my usual pre-game weekend structure of my blog to a more festive one.
 
I asked some of the girls to reflect on some of their favorite Halloween costumes growing up. The answers were enough to bring smiles to all of our faces, and I hope they do the same for you. Here are the replies and photos!

Maddie Rolfes: An astronaut!

Sydney McKibbon:  I'm pretty sure I was a witch 3 years in a row because it was an easy costume and my mom could do the makeup for it haha here's a preview of it. My sister and I were both witches that year.

Sarah Nurse: One time I was a devil who was more concerned with candy than anything else.

Mellissa Channell: Pikachu 

Mikayla Johnson: I remember going as a vampire 

Jenny Ryan: I was a penguin (duh) and a crayon.

Sophia Shaver:I was a witch! 

Nikki Cece: Justin Bieber

Abby Roque: I was Spider-Man just about every year growing up.

Maddie Rowe: A teletubby!

Lauren Williams: My mom told me I was the cutest gift but also the only gift in town on Halloween! 

Sam Cogan: My favorite costume ever was definitely a tiger. 

Presley Norby: My favorite was probably the dog costume, but the pirate was also pretty funny.

Claudia Kepler: My twin brother and I were clowns! 

Mekenzie Steffen: A witch! I also was a bunny once, and it's a much better picture. 

Baylee Wellhausen: My mom was extremely creative with my costumes and I loved them all, but I would have to say that my all-time favorite had to be Hermione Granger. The bangs were the best part. 
Finding these pictures gave myself and the girls a chance to reminisce, connecting with our families and remembering all they have done to make our lives so great. These memories stay with us forever! I would like to give a special thank you to all of our families for giving us the opportunities we have today.
