UW Head Coach John Trask
On the team scoring several goals after a scoreless tie with Indiana:
"It was a great first goal, great combination. Mark gets in line and slips that ball and Chris finishes it. The goal by Tommy Barlow, what a pass by
Mark Segbers. And then great to see the freshman
Blake Carr feeding
Mike Catalano, we talked about it before the game that we really wanted Mike to see if he could find a chance to get in the box.
"Three tremendous goals, I knew they wouldn't quit. I've been friends with Doc Johnson, the coach of Western Illinois, and have a lot of respect for the program. I knew they wouldn't quit and they played a great second half, they got a goal back. I didn't think we were sharp in the second half. But we're a college team, expecting perfection all the time is a little difficult. We'll rip up the tape from the second half, I told the guys we'll never watch it and I don't think there's anything to learn. We've got a big match against a great Ohio State team on Sunday and hopefully our fans will be out here to support us, it's going to be a fantastic day."
On being ranked No. 24 nationally:
"It's nice. It's never about me, it's about the guys on the team. They've worked so hard and at some point you want to get acknowledged for that work. Not only the national ranking in a few different publications, but
Philipp Schilling getting Defensive Player of the Week in the Big Ten. As I said, that could go from
Tom Barlow and Chris Mueller throughout our whole team and I think Philipp would be the first one to say that.
"But it's nice. When you play sports, you want to be honored. There's a lot of other sports on our campus that are nationally ranked right now, so for men's soccer to be nationally ranked this late in the season, our guys take a lot of pride in that."
On previewing the Ohio State game:
"It's going to be another Big Ten matchup. Every one of the games has gone to overtime, Ohio State's got a lot of great players and a great coaching staff, known Coach Bluem for a long time. I expect nothing but the best from them. You can throw out records, it's the Big Ten. That's what makes it a great conference, you look across all the sports right now and where the Badgers are ranked. One game here or there, you could be No. 1 in the country. Here or there and you could fall out of the rankings. That's what makes it the best conference in the world and we're excited to be in it, excited to have a chance to be at home in our final game of the season. We'll drop the ball Sunday and see how it works out."

Mike Catalano
On the team scoring several goals after a scoreless tie with Indiana:
"It was a good performance against Indiana, I think it was a good performance tonight in the first half. I think we just came out a little flat in the second. It's a midweek game, its cold and rainy, (Western Illinois) kind of got a goal from a mistake in the box. Good teams are able to absorb bad halves, we're good enough to get up three to nil in the first half and we just kind of did what we had to do to get the win. It's very good to get the confidence back in front of the goal."
On playing in the rain:
"This is the best soccer weather, the cold and rainy. The ball is slick, you can slide tackle very good. It's the best weather to play in."
On having goal production from several players this season:
"Goal scoring is hard, you can't rely on one or two guys. You have to have four, five, six guys and I think everyone has contributed this year, whereas last year it was only a few guys. We're a lot more deep in that sense and that's why we've been a lot better this year."
On playing Ohio State:
"If we get three points we're going to host (a Big Ten Tournament game), we'll be in the top four. So that's the goal. We have to beat Ohio State. It's Senior Day, we have to do it for our seniors. There's no excuse, we have to win this game."
