Wellhausen previews this weekend's clash with the Fighting Hawks
Hi Badger Fans!!Â
It's "Gameday Eve" in Madtown as the Badgers prepare to take on the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in a two-game series Saturday and Sunday afternoon!Â
Last weekend, the Badgers successfully swept Bemidji State 1-0 and 7-1. Highlights included two goals a piece from Sarah Nurse and Emily Clark in Saturday's game, helping Clarky earn the Offensive Player of the Week title for the WCHA. Congrats, liney!Â
As for this week, the Badgers have began the spring semester of school, all the while focusing hard on preparing for redemption against North Dakota when on the ice at practice.Â
I asked junior Mikayla Johnson on her thoughts for this upcoming battle
"I'm expecting a really competitive and fun weekend," she notes. "North Dakota is a very talented team and are going to come out hard and fast. I think we need to play the full 60 minutes each night and we're all excited to do that in our own rink with our amazing fans!"Â
She touches on an excellent point when speaking about the LaBahn Arena atmosphere and using it to our advantage. On behalf of us all, I'd like to thank the fans for always creating such a lovely environment to play in. We hope to see you all Saturday at 2:00 pm and on Sunday at 1:00 pm!Â
