MADISON, Wis -- The University of Wisconsin Athletic Department won a national award at the 2015 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) annual convention this week in Orlando, Florida. Â
Wisconsin earned a top-honored gold award in the sponsorship activation category for October's halftime promotion in which PGA TOUR professional Steve Stricker hit a golf shot toward mid-field in an attempt to win a trip to the 2015 PGA Championship for a lucky fan. The PGA Championship is being held this August at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin. The campaign was developed and executed by Assistant Director of Marketing Drew Pittner-Smith in conjunction with Learfield Sports and the PGA of America.
