UWBadgers.com Mobile Version and Badger Apps Available
The smartphone-friendly version of UWBadgers.com is essentially all headline
content (recaps and releases) and some associated content (box scores and bios
of student-athletes). Because of the dynamic nature of the schedule pages, we
are not yet able to provide this content in a smartphone-friendly fashion. However,
it is our goal to do so as soon as possible.
How This Works
When a user visits UWBadgers.com from their mobile phone (the front page or
any sport page), an auto-detect script will determine what version of the site
the user should receive. If a user is coming to UWBadgers.com via a fully-enabled
web browser, the mobile device will deliver the fully-enabled version of UWBadgers.com.
If the user is not using a fully-enabled web browser on their mobile device,
then the device will deliver a smartphone-friendly version of UWBadgers.com.

Special Note
The appearance of the content is going to vary from smartphone-to-smartphone.
In our testing, we used a Motorola Q, a Blackberry, a Treo Palm, an IPhone and
an HTC Touch. Each presented the content differently but in general, the results
were very good. The IPhone actually boasts a fully-enabled web browser and therefore
is delivered the fully-enabled version.

Mobile UW, the University of Wisconsin-Madison's
official iPhone app, is now available for free download
from the Apple App Store. The app contains eight
key tools designed to put information and resources
at the fingertips of busy students, faculty and
staff. It functions on the iPhone, iPod Touch and
iPad.
Mobile UW for Android now available
The Mobile UW party just got a lot bigger. The Android
version of the popular campus app was released on
July 7, enabling Android phone users to stay current
on news, navigate the campus, search for people,
or watch videos about research, teaching and student
life.
Mobile UW for Android shares the same eight features
as the iPhone version released last December. Learn
