Badger Alley Bistro at Camp Randall Stadium
Looking for a quick nutritious snack between classes or while visiting Camp Randall Stadium? Check out the new Badger Alley Bistro located in Badger Alley across from the McClain Center.
Opened Jan. 20, 2014, the Badger Alley Bistro is dedicated to providing whole food nutrition for sustained energy throughout the day.
As part of the UW Athletics Department’s Food and Beverage section, Bistro menus are designed by Registered Dietitian and manager Jessica Mottilla. The store is staffed by 15 UW students who are majoring in dietetics.
The Badger Alley Bistro is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, except for Fridays, when the Bistro closes at 5 p.m. Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting in May when the second semester ends to when the fall semester begins in September.
Follow @BadgerBistro on Twitter to get daily specials and to check on the soup of the day. The staff will soon be offering free, fact-based nutrition information and tips for reading while you wait for your order or while you enjoy your meal at one of the nearby tables.
Located near the new weight room in Camp Randall Stadium and near the newly-opened Fetzer Center for Student-Athlete Excellence, the Bistro attracts a number of UW student-athletes and staff but is also open to the public. There are a variety of offerings including "build-your-own" dishes. All are listed with the calories, protein and saturated fat measurements for each item.
As the Badger Alley Bistro grows in popularity, patrons are encouraged to watch for weekly specials to be added to the menu.
