Hockey player Ben Street is an excellent representative of UW-Athletics. In his fifth year at Wisconsin, despite coming off of a season long knee injury, Ben has been named team co-captain. In addition to playing hockey, Ben is SAAC representative, a peer leader in the Life Skills Academy and a Real Estate major. Even when Ben is not studying hard to meet the high expectations of the Business School or representing Wisconsin on the ice, he sets a good example on campus by being a positive role model for his team mates and younger student-athletes alike.
Swimmer Sara Goff is this year’s captain of the women’s wwimming and diving team and has continuously proven to be a great team leader. In addition to her excellent leadership qualities, Sara is a tremendous athlete, proving such when she qualified for the Olympic Trials at the end of last season. When she is not swimming, Sara excels with her academic work, organizes community service events for her team, and serves as a Peer Leader in the Life Skills Academy. Sara is also this year’s SAAC president and has instituted a few innovative ideas that may become SAAC traditions in the years to come.
