Badgers recognized on Fall Academic All-Big Ten team

MADISON, Wis. - The Big Ten Conference released its Fall Academic All-Big Ten team and 57 Badgers were recognized for their academic achievements. In total, 705 student-athletes from around the conference were honored in seven different sports.

Wisconsin's 57 Academic All-Big Ten honorees spanned six different sports: football, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer and volleyball. The Badger football team had 22 honorees while the men's soccer team had 12 student-athletes recognized by the conference. Seven members of the women's soccer team were honored and volleyball had six. Both the men's and women's cross country teams each had five Academic All-Big Ten honorees.

Nine of the 705 student-athletes recognized by the conference have perfect 4.0 GPAs, including UW soccer player Laurie Nosbusch, who is a sophomore majoring in biology.
