MADISON, Wis. -- To show our appreciation to all new donors who have chosen to support Wisconsin Athletics in 2012, their names have been entered into a drawing to win Badger memorabilia.

Three winners were drawn the Friday before every home football game during the 2012 season. We are proud to announce the following winners for the second half of the season, and have highlighted one donor who shared why supporting Wisconsin Athletics has helped create some lasting memories.

Donor Story: David Smith
I have many memories of Badger basketball games. I started attending the games in 1978 with my step-father, Dan Neviaser. Two games stick out for me. The first is in 1979, when I attended the UW game against Magic Johnson's Michigan State Spartans with my step-father and a grade school buddy. We cheered like crazy the whole game but near the end with only seconds left and down one, we thought it was over.

But Wes Matthews took the inbounds pass right in front of us (our seats were three rows behind the visitor's bench) and heaved a three-quarter court shot that hit nothing but net. The crowd at the Field House was delirious and it was Magic's last loss as a collegiate player as he and the Spartans went on to win the NCAA championship that year.

The other favorite memory was taking my son and one of his friends to the Duke game a couple of years ago. At the time they were the same age I was when I went to the Spartan game. Other than the Badgers, Duke is my son's favorite team but that night he and I were rooting for Wisconsin. The Badgers dominated the game most of the way and the victory was of great satisfaction over the mighty Dukies.
