MADISON, Wis. - Seniors Caity DuPont (volleyball), Molly Schemm (golf) and Brandon Miller (soccer) were recognized by UW Academic Services as the Student-Athletes of the Month for October.
Caity DuPont is one of the team-nominated captains for the volleyball team. She has been a major contributor at outside hitter over the last three years. Caity is also a great leader and role model for her team. She is an interior design major and has been honored as Academic All-Big Ten for the last two years. She is also highly involved as a student leader. Caity has been an active member of SAAC and serves as the Vice President this year and is a member of the ReThink Wisconsin organization. She helped to head up many initiatives through SAAC, such as the recycling program at UW football games and helped out with last year's Buckinghams. Caity is a leader in many ways, and deserves to be recognized for all her efforts!
Molly Schemm is a senior from Ft. Atkinson, Wis., and a retailing major in the School of Human Ecology. She led the women's golf team to victory at Johnie Imes Invitational on Oct. 5-6, finishing in a tie for second individually. Molly participated in Light the Night walk with her team.
Brandon Miller is a senior from Vadnais Heights, Minn. An agricultural and applied economics major in CALS, Brandon has been recognized by the Big Ten as Conference Player of the Week and has also been involved with team community service projects.
