MADISON, Wis. -- The UW Athletic Department hosted the Athletic Luncheon Series on Friday, Sept. 30, featuring head football coach Bret Bielema, athletic director Barry Alvarez, and Nebraska athletic director Tom Osborne.
Osborne provided insights on the transition of Nebraska into the Big Ten Conference while Alvarez provided his thoughts on how Nebraska will improve the conference as a whole. Alvarez said, "I think adding Nebraska is a `win-win'. A win for Nebraska and certainly a win for the Big Ten."
Coach Bielema also spoke about the football match up against Nebraska and answered questions from the audience. Bielema said, "We have something special here and we are excited to welcome coach Osborne, coach Pelini and a team like Nebraska into Camp Randall."
In addition to making a remarkable difference in the lives of Badger student-athletes, donors to Wisconsin Athletics are offered unique benefit opportunities, including invitations to special events like the Athletic Luncheon Series.
