Sean Frazier, currently the director of athletics at Merrimack College, has been named Associate Athletic Director at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
"We're pleased to have Sean join our leadership team," said Barry Alvarez, Director of Athletics at UW-Madison. "He has a wealth of administrative experience that will help us move forward in support of our student-athletes and coaches in the years ahead."
Frazier has been Director of Athletics at Merrimack since August, 2005. Prior to that, he served as Director of Athletics and Recreation at Clarkson University and at Manhattanville College. He also has served as assistant director of athletics at the University of Maine.
Frazier is a native of Centerport, N.Y., and a graduate of the University of Alabama, where he played football for four years.
I am truly excited about joining Barry Alvarez and the entire staff of Wisconsin Athletics, Frazier said. This position, staff, and institution is what I have been working toward since the start of my administrative career. Although, I will miss the many relationships that I have developed during my time at Merrimack I am sure that there will be continued success for the future.
Among Frazier's duties will be the oversight of men's and women's hockey, event management, and food and beverage.
