Badger Fund Announces Winners

Congratulations to Bob and Sheila Bock, Tom and Bonnie McAuly, and Jeff and Rozanne Mackey! They were selected as winners of a rsportid=105&storyid=13734"> --> andom drawing offered exclusively by the UW Athletic Department.

All donors to Wisconsin athletics who made a contribution to the 2008 campaign prior to April 30 were entered in the drawing and were eligible to win. Prizes included sideline passes for a non-conference home football game, dinner for two at the Kellner Club, and tickets inside a Kohl Center Suite for a mens basketball game.

Tom and Bonnie McAuly, from Pewaukee, Wis., won two sideline passes for the home football game against Marshall on Sept. 6 and are excited to see the game up-close. We would never otherwise get to stand on the sideline, said Bonnie. We are very excited about this! That Saturday also happens to be Toms birthday and he considers watching the Badgers from the sideline to be a pretty neat birthday gift. Tom and Bonnie are both life-long Badger fans and have been season ticket holders for 13 years.

We are excited to receive the dinner at the Kellner Club, said Bob Bock of Waunakee, Wis. We always attend the hockey games and have been watching the team for 35 years. Bob, along with his wife, Sheila, will receive dinner for two at the Kellner Club prior to a mens hockey home game. Bob is the former Dean of the UW School of Business and moved to the Madison area in 1972. The Bocks have always supported the Badgers and in particular hockey and basketball.

Jeff and Rozanne Mackey, from Middleton, Wis., were also selected as winners and will watch a mens basketball game from a Kohl Center Suite during the 2008-09 season. Jeff completed his pre-medical schooling at UW and is a chiropractor in Madison. Jeff also works with the athletic department as a team doctor. The Mackeys have enjoyed supporting the University of Wisconsin and watching the Badgers all their lives.

A very special thank you goes out to all those donors who have made a contribution to UW Athletics this year. Since the department is a self-supporting entity, the generosity of individuals who contribute is essential to achieving success in the classroom and on the fields of play. Please know that your support of scholarship and facility needs of the nearly 800 student-athletes in 23 sports is appreciated.

As a reminder, donors at every giving level to Wisconsin Athletics are eligible for stewardship activities throughout the year including access to the Kellner Club, Legends of Wisconsin Classic, Football Training Camp Outing, Party at the Pavillion and the Party in the Paint.
