Madison, Wis. - Simon & Garfunkel announced that Madison, Wis., will be the second date on their U.S. tour taking place this spring. The legendary duo is making its first concert tour together since their extraordinarily successful "Old Friends Tour" in 2003. Tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 13 at 10 a.m. CT.
The tour kicks off at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on Saturday, April 24 and will make its way to Madison on Sunday May 9 at 8 p.m. CT at the Kohl Center. More cities will be announced soon.
Simon & Garfunkel possess an unequaled and timeless songbook and their wonderful blend of voices and energies provide a thrill that only the best of live music performances can create. The pair released a live archive treasure in 2009, "Live 1969", that included part acoustic and part electric versions of classics like "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "Mrs. Robinson", "Homeward Bound", "The Sound of Silence" and "The Boxer" among others.
The lifelong friends have performed together and separately for over 30 years. They rose to fame in 1965 backed by the hit single "The Sound of Silence". Their music was featured in the landmark film The Graduate. View their body of work here.
Don't miss your opportunity to experience some of the greatest moments in live music. Tickets will be available Saturday, March 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the Wisconsin Athletic Ticket Office (Gate 1 @ Camp Randall Stadium). Patrons may also charge by phone at 608/262-1440 or 800-GO-BADGERS and purchase online at UWBadgers.com. On March 13, in-person window sales will begin at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., while phone sales will be available until 7:00 p.m., or while supplies last.
Ticket prices will be $187, $127, $87 and $52. A convenience fee of $11 per ticket will be charged for phone and Internet sales along with a $5 order charge. There will be no convenience or order charges for in-person sales. There is a ticket limit of 12 per customer.
Patrons are reminded that the UW Athletic Department will utilize a lottery system for this on-sale. Patrons wishing to participate in the lottery must arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The lottery will close at 9:30 a.m. At this time one number will be drawn and the line will be re-organized. Individuals arriving after the lottery line ends will need to wait until all lottery participants have been serviced before purchasing tickets.
