Madison, Wis. - UWBadgers.com unveiled UW Badgers today, the official iPhone application of Wisconsin Athletics. UW Badgers offers iPhone owners easy access to up-to-the-minute news, scores, schedules, rosters and streaming audio and video for the 2009-2010 school year. UW Badgers is $4.99 per year and can be downloaded from the iTunes store or from the App Store on your iPhone.

The application provides iPhone owners an interface that gives them immediate mobile access to essential information from UWBadgers.com, the official athletic web site of Wisconsin Athletics. Fans no longer have to wait until they have access to a computer or internet connection to keep up with their favorite Wisconsin sport. Now they can take it with them!

The initial launch of UW Badgers will include access to the following features:

HEADLINES
Breaking news, by sport, available exclusively from UWBadgers.com

SCORES
Updated score, schedule and venue information for each contest, and results from past events.

SCHEDULES
Complete schedules for each sport by date, time, location and opponent. Includes home and away team rosters and bio information for each athlete.

AUDIO/VIDEO
Select on-demand audio and video clips, as well as streaming audio for select live events.

The UW Badgers iPhone application is only compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch and requires iPhone OS 2.0 or later.
