The UW Athletic Department recently announced a partnership with American Transmission Co. to benefit the second annual Wisconsin women's basketball "Quarters for Kids" promotion. Fans are encouraged to take part in the "Quarters for Kids" event by attending the Wisconsin vs. Iowa game on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. in the Kohl Center. For each fan in attendance at the game, American Transmission Co. will donate 25 cents to the Ronald McDonald House.
"We are pleased that through our sponsorship of this event we can show our support for both UW women's basketball and the Ronald McDonald House," said Sarah Justus, local relations manager for American Transmission Co. "We hope that others in the community will join us in supporting these organizations by attending the game."
As part of the partnership, American Transmission Co. purchased 300 tickets to the event that will be distributed to local community organizations, and to employees and their families. Including American Transmission Co.'s ticket purchase, advanced ticket sales have reached over 9,000.
Fans can get involved with the "Quarters for Kids" event by simply purchasing tickets to the Feb. 28 women's basketball game at the Kohl Center. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for youth and are available online, by calling 1-800-GO BADGERS or in person at the Wisconsin Athletic Ticket Office.
