MEN'S HOCKEY (13-6-1, 4-2-0-0)

This Week:  No. 9 Wisconsin plays host to Ohio State (11-8-1, 1-4-1) for the first series in history between the two schools. Friday’s game begins at 8 p.m., with Saturday’s game a 7 p.m. start. Saturday’s game is a “White Out,” with fans encouraged to wear their best Badger white at the game. Ohio State is coached by 1990 UW national championship team captain Steve Rohlik, now in his first year as head coach of OSU.

Last Week: Wisconsin had the weekend off.

Need to Know: Wisconsin wraps up a 12-game home stand during which it has gone 9-1-0 through the first 10 games.

Good to Know: Friday's game is part of BTN’s Frozen Friday doubleheader, while Saturday's game will show on Fox Sports Wisconsin alternate. Matt Shepherd, Ben Clymer and Jay Wilson call the game Friday on BTN, while Paul Braun and Barry Richter will call the action on Saturday. Both can also be seen at BTN2Go.com and on the BTN2Go app. Saturday's game also airs tape-delayed at 10 p.m. on Wisconsin Channel with Robb Vogel and Ron Vincent on the call. The games will air live statewide on the Badger Radio Network with Brian Posick calling the action, with Barry Richter and Mike Cerniglia splitting analyst duties. The games air on WIBA-AM 1310 in Madison. WOMEN'S HOCKEY (19-3-2, 15-3-2-1)
This Week: No. 2 Wisconsin returns home to LaBahn Arena after a road sweep at Bemidji State to face Minnesota Duluth (11-8-5, 9-6-5-3). The Badgers and Bulldogs meet on Saturday at 2 p.m. before wrapping the series up on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Last Week: The Badgers swept the Beavers, defeating BSU 6-0 last Friday before earning a 3-1 triumph on Saturday. Brittany Ammerman tallied four points during the weekend.

Need to Know: Alex Rigsby passed Jessie Vetter on the all-time career wins list at Wisconsin, as Rigsby now has 92 career triumphs. That total ranks third in NCAA history.

MEN'S BASKETBALL (16-2, 3-2)
This Week:  Wisconsin hits the road to take on Minnesota (14-5, 3-3) on Wednesday at 8 p.m. CT before traveling to West Lafayette, Ind., to battle Purdue (13-5, 3-2) on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT.

Last Week: The Badgers suffered their first loss of the season and their first home defeat of the year when they fell on the road to Indiana on Tuesday and at home against Michigan on Saturday.

Need to Know: Wisconsin trailed at halftime for just the second time this season on Saturday, falling to 1-1 when trailing at intermission. UW has trailed at halftime in only 39 of 210 home games under Ryan.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL (9-7, 2-3)
This Week:  The Badgers travel to Minnesota (12-7, 1-4) on Thursday for an 8 p.m. tip from Williams Arena in Minneapolis. The game airs live on the Big Ten Network with Kevin Kugler and Mary Murphy. UW returns home on Sunday to host Big Ten co-leader Michigan (13-5, 4-1). Tip time is noon from the Kohl Center.

Last Week: Wisconsin split in action last week. The Badgers downed Indiana 65-60 on Jan. 15 but dropped a 74-58 decision at Northwestern on Jan. 18.  

Need to Know: Junior Michala Johnson scored a career-high 32 points at Northwestern on Saturday, the most points for a Badger this season. The 6-3 post was 13-of-18 (72.2 percent) from the field and 6-of-6 from the line. She also shared game-high honors with 10 rebounds, recording her fifth double-double of the season.

WRESTLING (9-4, 3-1)
This Week:  No. 18 Wisconsin travels to Indiana and No. 15 Northwestern for a pair of Big Ten dual meets this weekend. The Badgers will take the mat against the Hoosiers at 7 p.m. inside University Gymnasium in Bloomington, Ind. On Sunday, UW completes its road trip with a stop in Evanston, Ill. for a noon dual against the Wildcats in Welsh-Ryan Arena.

Last Week:  Wisconsin enjoyed a week off following its dual meets against Ohio State and Minnesota on Jan. 10 and Jan. 12.

Need to Know: The Badgers hold a 29-24 edge over the Hoosiers in over 60 years of competition. The match up has been all about streaks, with UW currently on an eight-match winning streak that dates back to the 2001-02 season.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
This Week: After a successful showing at The Shell last weekend, the No. 4 Badgers will host the Wisconsin Elite Invitational this weekend at the Camp Randall Memorial Sports Center. The discus kicks the meet off on Friday at 5 p.m., while the rest of the field and running events take place on Saturday. Field events on Saturday start at noon while running events begin at 1 p.m.

Last Week: After a successful showing at the Badger Indoor Open on Friday, the Badgers won their first dual in 26 years, defeating Missouri 86-61. The Badgers won 11 of 15 events -- four field events and seven on the track -- in the program’s first dual meet since a 1988 clash with Tennessee.

Need to Know: Japheth Cato returned for the Badgers after suffering an injury early on during the 2013 outdoor season. Cato looked stellar as he claimed wins in both the pole vault and the high jump. He cleared 16 feet, 4 3/4 inches in the high jump and spared 6-11 in the high jump.

WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
This Week: After opening up their indoor season last weekend, the Badgers host the Wisconsin Elite Invitational this weekend at the Camp Randall Memorial Sports Center. The discus kicks the meet off on Friday at 5 p.m., while the rest of the field and running events take place on Saturday. Field events on Saturday start at noon while running events begin at 1 p.m.

Last Week: The Badgers looked strong in both their meets last week, as junior Kelsey Card set Shell records in the discus and shot put during the Badger Indoor Open. Wisconsin survived a late rally from Missouri in the dual meet on Saturday and the Cardinal and White earned a 80-72 win.

Need to Know: The Cardinal and White will face competitors from DePaul, Indiana State, Marquette and Northern Illinois at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational.

MEN'S TENNIS
This Week: The UW men’s tennis team opens the spring season with a two-match road trip to Los Angeles. The Badgers will take on host and 2013 national runner-up UCLA on Saturday, Jan. 25 before taking on either Nebraska or Texas Tech on Sunday, Jan. 26.

Need to Know: UW’s home schedule will begin Feb. 1 when the Badgers host South Dakota State and Bradley at Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
