MADISON, Wis. -- Associate Athletic Director Marija Pientka announced this week the addition of three new staff members in the Athletic Department's development office.

Jennifer Richardson was named Director of Development and will focus her efforts on managing the athletic department's annual fundraising program, including priority seating and parking programs, donor stewardship events, and the overall donor benefits structure.

Richardson most recently served as an associate director of athletic development at Rutgers University. While at Rutgers, she worked in all areas of athletic fundraising including the annual fund, capital projects, scholarship support and sport specific fundraising. Additionally, Richardson previously spent time in the development office at Binghamton University.

A native of Wellsville, N.Y., Richardson holds a bachelor of arts and master of arts from Binghamton University. She was also a softball student-athlete at Binghamton University serving as team captain from 2001-2003.

Eric Buda and Jessica Seyferth will also join the Athletic Development team, both serving in the role of Development Coordinator.

Buda will provide support in the area of annual giving and serve in a leadership role for annual fund donor stewardship events. Buda comes to UW after working as a graduate assistant at the University of Oklahoma. At Oklahoma, Buda participated in all aspects of donor stewardship and outreach while also working towards a master's degree Intercollegiate Athletic Administration. Buda is a native of Stevens Point, Wis., and graduate of the University of Louisville where he worked in the athletic ticket office.

Seyferth will provide support in the area of capital projects and endowments while serving in a leadership role for stewardship events and outreach efforts in those key areas. Seyferth, a graduate of UW-Madison, recently completed an internship in the National W Club and was a four year letter-winner on the Badger women's tennis team. Seyferth was a two-time team captain while earning Academic All-Big Ten honors twice in her career. Seyferth is a native of Ann Arbor, Mich.

"We are fortunate to add these three members to our development team. Each of them brings varying experience to help grow and advance our fund raising efforts. I know our donors will enjoy getting to know these individuals," stated Pientka.

Along with the recent hires, Pientka announced Chad Kimmel and Nate Pokrass will be elevated to Senior Directors of Development.
