Badger Fund Adds Assistant Director of Development

Chad Kimmel has been named assistant director of development at the University of Wisconsin, UW Associate Athletic Director Marija Pientka announced today. Kimmel will focus his efforts on managing the Divisions annual fundraising program, including preferred seating and parking programs, stewardship events like the Legends Golf Classic, Party in the Paint, Football Training Camp Outing, and all other donor benefits.

Kimmel most recently served as an assistant director of development for annual giving at Kansas State University, where he managed an annual fund program that generated $7.5 million annually for scholarship support from nearly 8,000 donors. Previously, Kimmel spent a number of years in KSUs marketing and promotions office.

Chad brings a wide range of experience in athletic administration to our staff, Pientka said. We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber on our team.

A member of the National Association of Athletic Development Directors, Kimmel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public management from Austin Peay and a Master of Science degree in college student personnel from Kansas State University. Upon completing his disertation, Kimmel will obtain a Ph.D. from K-State in higher education administration--student affairs.
