The NCAA Eligibility Center certifies the academic and amateur credentials
of all college-bound student-athletes who wish to compete in NCAA Division

Initial Eligibility
The NCAA has created rules that determine an individual’s eligibility to
participate in intercollegiate athletics. Prospective student-athletes
must meet minimum academic standards and amateurism criteria in order to
play college sports. The NCAA Eligibility Center administers the process
