Packer's Perspective: Back From the Buckeye State

Hey Badger Fans!

It was a successful weekend top to bottom for Badger Hockey, as the men had a sweep at home, and our squad took care of business on the road at Ohio State. It is always tough to play on the road, especially in Ohio where the rink is small compared to anywhere else we play during the season and things happen much quicker than we are used to. Despite the adjustments, the team took care of business and came away with six well deserved and much needed points in the WCHA standings. As the season starts to come to a close every point matters, and it is important to get as many as we can on the road.

The team is back at it this week, preparing for the much anticipated series against Minnesota. It is a huge weekend for both teams, and we are looking forward to playing in front of our home crowd. This will be the last time the senior class plays Minnesota on home ice, and we are looking forward to a great atmosphere Saturday night at Fill the Bowl.

The team knows that we have a lot to prepare for, but we also know what to expect. Minnesota is a hardworking, talented team, and we have to match that intensity all week in practice in order to best prepare for the upcoming series. It should be a fun weekend for all involved as Friday night is senior night, and Saturday night is the big game in the Kohl Center where we hope we get a record turn out from the crowd.

Tune back in later this week to hear about how practice and preparation went and for anticipations from the senior class about heading into the weekend! Until next time thanks for reading, and On Wisconsin!
