Here is Wisconsin's injury report for the remainder of the season. The Badgers will only have nine healthy players the rest of the way. Senior Taylor Wurtz has elected to take a medical redshirt for the rest of the 2012-13 season. The 6-0 guard has been bothered by a re-occurring back problem and had surgery Jan. 3. Sophomore AnnMarie Brown had surgery Jan. 4 for a torn ACL suffered in practice Dec. 18. She is out for the season as well.

Senior point guard Tiera Stephen injured her knee just 10 minutes into the Ohio State last Thursday. Her MRI showed no tears and she is listed as probable to play today. Which is great news for the short-benched Badgers.

Yes, let's change the LEFT side of the record today. So close so many times. Had the game won at Ohio State. But what a valiant effort to lose in the two overtimes. Jackie Gulczynski set a new school record for mintues played with all 50. She beat Keisha Anderson and Barb Franke who both played 49 minutes in the 2OT win over Purdue in 1992.

Here are some game notes. The Badgers (10-13 overall, 2-8 Big Ten) kick off a two-game homestand today by hosting Indiana (10-13, 1-9) at 2 p.m. in the Kohl Center.  UW hosts Purdue on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT. There is only one more home game after that when UW hosts Nebraska Feb. 28.

Sophomore Jacki Gulczynski tallied career highs of 32 points and 15 rebounds at Ohio State Thursday night. The 6-1 forward also set a school record by playing in all 50 minutes of the double overtime game. She is the second leading scorer on the team averaging 12.3 points per game.

Wisconsin has outrebounded its last two Big Ten foes, the first times this season that UW has outrebounded a conference opponent.  The Badgers outrebounded Illinois 35-31 on Feb. 3, the first game since Delaware State (Dec. 27) that UW has outrebounded a foe. Wisconsin followed that up with a 50-36 rebounding advantage over Ohio State on Thursday. It was UW's fourth game this season with 50-or-more rebounds.

In its last 10 games, Wisconsin has gotten just 23 points (2.3/game) from its bench. After nine games with four-or-less points, the Badger bench scored six points at Ohio State on Thursday. Freshman Nicole Bauman pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds against the Buckeyes on Thursday, the first double-figure rebounding game of her career. The 5-10 guard was 4-of-4 from the line including two makes with 11 seconds left in regulation to put the Badgers up 52-48.
Bauman leads the Badgers with a .917 percentage at the free throw line. The 5-10 guard is 22-of-24 at the charity stripe this season.

Fans hoping to see more offreshman  Dakota Whyte on the floor got their wish last Thursday. Due to Tiera Stephen's knee injury, Whyte played 21 minutes at point at Ohio State on Thursday. She tied her career best with five rebounds while dishing off three assists and turning the ball over only twice. On the season, which has played in 20 games, averaging 2.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

Freshman Tessa Cichy played a career-high 35 minutes at Ohio State on Thursday. The 6-0 guard pulled down a career-high six rebounds, including two offensive boards. She also dished off a career-best four assists while turning the ball over only twice. Cichy added three points to the Badger offense.
On the year, Cichy has played in 19 games and is typically the first player off the bench. She averages 2.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 53.8 percent from the field.
