Here is Wisconsin's injury report for the remainder of the season. The Badgers will only have nine healthy players the rest of the way. Senior Taylor Wurtz has elected to take a medical redshirt for the rest of the 2012-13 season. The 6-0 guard hadbeen bothered by a re-occurring back problem and had surgery Jan. 3. Sophomore AnnMarie Brown had surgery Jan. 4 for a torn ACL suffered in practice Dec. 18. She is out for the season as well.

UW's 63-61 win over No. 7 Penn State Thursday was its first victory over a ranked team since the 2009-10 season while the Lady Lions were the highest ranked team that the Badgers have beaten since taking down No. 6 Baylor on Nov. 29, 2008.

UW's schedule eases up for the second half of the Big Ten season. Of their eight remaining games, the Badgers face just three teams that are ranked or receive votes in the national polls compared to five in the first half of conference play.

In its last eight games, Wisconsin has gotten just 16 points (2.0/game) from its bench. The Badger bench has scored four or fewer points in each game over the stretch.
With season-ending injuries to Taylor Wurtz and AnnMarie Brown, UW has only nine players seeing action for the remainder of the season. Combined, the four players currently coming off the bench average 5.3 points per game.

Junior Cassie Rochel has moved into the top 10 of the UW season record list with 67 blocks. Her total ties her for 10th on the list. 
The 6-4 post is averaging 2.4 blocks per game this season, which would rank fourth on the UW season list.

Wisconsin shot an uncharacteristic 54.5 percent (12-of-22) from the free throw line against Penn State on Jan. 31, its second lowest percentage of the season. The mark dropped the Badgers to fourth in the Big Ten with a free throw percentage of .760.

I am not surprised. They always had a lot of talent, but not much organization. Matt Bollant has brought the organization and 'fun' back to the players. Also, GodBold joined them after missing the first sememster with academic problems. She is a huge presence for them. They are a very athletic team. Hard to guard.
