Tam Flarup chronicled all the action from today's game between the Badgers (4-8) and Green Bay (10-0) with the live Gameday Blog. The Badgers fell to the Phoenix 65-49 at the Kohl Center.

The Badgers took 12 days off for final exams, last playing at home on Dec. 11. Wisconsin is on a two-game losing streak, falling at Kansas, 73-44, on Dec. 8. before losing to Drake, 65-54.

The Badgers have improved over the season and there are some bright spots to highlight. Despite Drake shooting an opponent season-high 3-point percentage of 50.0 (5-10) on Dec. 11, Wisconsin still leads the Big Ten in 3-point defense at 24.7 percent. The Bulldogs Kyndal Clark was 4-of-5 (80 percent) from 3-point range, a season high for an individual opponent.

In their last six games, the Badgers are averaging 15.3 turnovers per game. Wisconsin has recorded 16-or-fewer turnovers in its last three games, including a season-low 12 turnovers against Saint Louis on Dec. 5, to average just 13.7 giveaways its last three games.

Junior Taylor Wurtz needs just three 3-pointers to move into the top 10 on the UW career list. The 6-0 guard has 113 treys in her career and ties for sixth in career 3-point percentage at .360 (113-of-314). Karie Cattanach (1993-97) currently ranks 10th on the career list for 3 pointers made with 116. Wurtz went over 600 career points vs. Boston College on Nov. 30. She currently has 643 points in her career.

Thomas had a career game vs. Saint Louis on Dec. 5, tallying career highs for points (14), rebounds (7), minutes (39), field goals made (6), and field goal percentage (75.0 6-of-8). She also tied her career best of three assists.

Mele Kalekemaka. I'm kind of torn about this game. Normally, I'd root for the Badgers. However, I like, and am proud of the Phoenix too. It's kind of like watching a Bears/vikings where you want both of them to lose, only in reverse; I want both of these teams to do well. I guess I'll just lurk and say may the best team win. Hope they both play well and it's a good game.
