KINGSTON, R.I. - Join Diane Nordstrom of Wisconsin Athletic Communications Office as she chronicles all of the action from this evening's volleyball match at Rhode Island in the second round of the Rhode Island Invitational. The Badgers (4-3) face the Rams (5-2) at 6 p.m. cT in Keany Gymnasium on the Rhode Island campus.

For those of you who missed the 2 p.m. match, the Badgers downed Boston College 28-26, 25-17, 25-23 to move ot 4-3 on the year. Rhode Island lost to Columbia 3-2 this morning at 10 a.m. to fall to 5-2 on the season.

The Rams were undefeated last weekend at the Stony Brook Tournament with three players receiving all-tournament honors. Senior Kayla Wilson, a 6-0 outside hitter, earned tournament MVP honors and leads the team with 3.73 kills per set. She also adds 2.69 digs per set.

Sophomore Britta Baarstad,a 5-10 outside hitter, and junior Annie Nelson, a 5-8 setter, also earned all-tournament honors. Baarstad averages 3.12 kills per set and leads the team with 0.38 aces per set. Nelson puts up 8.92 assists per set.

So what are my keys to the game. On paper, Rhode Island is the toughest competition for the Badgers in this tournament. I think Wisconsin needs to pick up its game from this morning. The Badgers need to cut down on the ir errors and pass well so they can spread their offense out. UW also needs to get their block up tonight.
