I am the former athletic communications contact for women's basketball, and although now three years removed, still enjoy following the players. These seniors were freshmen in my last year of covering the team and it has been fun to see their progress.

Both teams are out on the floor now for final warmups. Crowd is starting to filter in. I arrived about 5:15 p.m. and there was a lot of campus gridlock. A normal trip for me is 10 minutes and it took 25. The streets are extremely narrow with all the snow on the sides. If a bus is coming it is one lane, even on the major thorough fares. So it probably will affect our crowd tonight.

Big Ten has 2 ranked teams, but Iowa at No. 22 lost tonight, so it will probably just be Michigan State. We have had more nationally ranked teams before including six ranked to begin the season. The conference tends to upset one another which is tough on rankings.
