Duggan records 200th career point

Senior Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.) became just the second Badger and 13th NCAA Division I women's hockey player all-time to reach 200 career points when she recorded three points on one goal and two assists in Wisconsin's 10-0 win over St. Cloud State (Jan. 14).

Duggan's 200th point came on Wisconsin's seventh goal of the game at 7:04 of the second period.

Sara Bauer is the only other Badger to reach the career milestone; she registered 218 career points from 2003-04 to 2006-07.

In addition to Duggan and Bauer, 11 other NCAA Division I women's hockey players have reached 200 career points, led by Julie Chu's 285 points. Chu played for Harvard from 2002-03 to 2004-05 and 2006-07.

As Duggan joins Bauer in the elite scoring group, Wisconsin is the fourth university to have multiple 200-point scorers. The 200-point club includes three Harvard skaters (Chu, Nicole Corriero and Sarah Vaillancourt), three Minnesota Gophers (Natalie Darwitz, Krissy Wendell and Kelly Stephens) and two Mercyhurst players (Meghan Agosta and Valerie Chouinard).

Duggan joins Mercyhurst's Meghan Agosta as the only active players on the list. Agosta has 24 goals and 33 assists for 57 points through 21 games this season, increasing her career total to 274 points.

The following is the list of 200-point scorers at the start of the 2010-11 season according to the NCAA Women's Hockey recordbook:
