Wisconsin volleyball vs. Seton Hall

Please join Diane Nordstrom of the Wisconsin Athletic Communications office as she chronicles all of the action from this morning's match vs. Seton Hall. The tournament title is one the line as the Badgers (2-0) can win the championship with a victory over Seton Hall (1-1). Winthrop (1-1) takes on William & Mary (0-2) in the final match at 1:30 p.m. CT.

Welcome back to Kaplan Arena at William & Mary Hall for the Badgers final match of the William & Mary Tribe Invitational. Wisconsin (2-0) takes on Seton Hall (1-1) in what could be the title match of the tournament. UW will win with a victory today.

Freshman Elise Walch is averaging 4.0 kills per set for the Badgers while senior Kim Kuzma is averaging 6.0 digs per set. The Badgers have also help both of their opponents to a negative hitting percentage.

Seton Hall was 12-19 last season, tying for eighth in the BIG EAST. The Pirates were picked to finish seventh this season by a preseason coaches poll. SH returns nine players, including five upperclassmen.

Senior Sarah Osmun leads the team, averaging 3.29 kills and 2.63 digs per set last season. Junior Meghan Matusiak added 3.10 kills per set. Sophomore Olivia Trudeau, a 5-9 setter, averaged 9.87 assists per set.
