Herbert profile, Badgers picked 10th and Kendricks and the draft

Some more Badger related links this morning.

Tom Mulhern profiled UW strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert.

Mulhern ends the piece by writing, "Perhaps the most important thing Herbert has seen this summer is a hungry football team that realizes how good it can be, provided it pays the price.

"I won't get too far ahead of myself," he said. "They want to be as good as they know they can be. That's the best way to say it. ... That's going to come through when you get to camp and see how the guys are working and how they go about their business and how they regulate themselves. But they want to be great."

In addition, here are some links provided by Dave Heller of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The Badgers are ranked No. 10 in NBCSports.com's Preseason Top 25. The site breaks down each of the 25 teams by offense, defense, special teams, coaching, Heisman hopefuls, Game of the Year and finishes with an overview.

Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com lists his 10 seniors who will "shoot up the draft charts" and UW TE Lance Kendricks makes the cut.

About Kendricks, Rang writes, "Due to the attention defenses have to pay to the Badgers' strong running game, few teams have enjoyed greater success developing tight ends than the Badgers. Kendricks is built a lot like athletic UW standout Travis Beckum, a 2009 third-round pick by the New York Giants. Kendricks caught 29 passes for 356 yards and three scores in 2009 operating as the primary backup to Garrett Graham, a fourth-round pick to Houston (where he'll back up former UW tight end Owen Daniels) in April. Kendricks has the soft hands and quick feet to enjoy similar success as his former teammates on the field and on draft day."
