Wow!  What a weekend! It was very nice to have two days off, and I truly enjoyed my vacation. I was speaking with a friend, and I mentioned how I enjoyed the time off and I felt refreshed after a vacation. She immediately said, well what you experienced was what most people call a weekend. Free weekends are so rare that they generally feel like vacations. I am off this weekend to a very big tournament in New Jersey, so I won't have the opportunity to enjoy the Memorial Day weekend.  I will get the chance, however, to see my family for a very short amount of time (which in their eyes is probably just enough time). I am excited to experience one of my favorite places back east, Wegman's. If you aren't from the Northeast you might not know what Wegman's is, but it is an awesome grocery store that I love to shop at. I know what you are thinking, how exciting can a grocery store be?  Well, for me it's about getting new ideas for cooking and buying fresh food. I love it!

Speaking about being out East, I only have 537 miles to go to get back to Middletown, Pa.  It will be difficult to chip away at the mileage over the weekend when I am at the PDA tournament, but I will try in the evenings.  I did have a great time this weekend going to the farmer's market.  I bought tomatoes, radishes, and a doughnut.  It was just enough to satisfy my farmer's market fix and make a great salad (I didn't put the doughnut in the salad).  I also bought a bunch of flowers to plant in my front yard, but I am betting they don't last too long as I am terrible growing anything (I think I got that from my mother).

I just received all of our grades from this past semester, and I am happy to report our team had a team GPA of 3.18. This is not official until the academic office confirms my calculations, but I think it will be in that general area.  I am very pleased with this GPA, and I know my players will continue to improve on their classroom performance.  However, I believe this is the highest GPA the team has had since I arrived in Wisconsin, so I am very proud of them!

Lastly, I am getting ready for camp, so I hope everyone out there who is interested in soccer camp at Wisconsin signs up!  Our camp is truly one of the places where we find our future stars whether they are 5 years old or 18 years old.  I hope I have the opportunity to meet you and work with you at camp!  I am looking forward to a great summer!
