Let me begin...

Amid all the excitement of the Badgers' wins in the 200 freestyle relay and 50 freestyle last night, I forgot to mention one of the most interesting developments of the evening.

As the top eight finishers from each race are paraded to the awards stand to pick up their medals, the fight song of the winning athlete (or relay) is played inside the pool. It's a nice touch to the ceremonies, but it was taken up a notch after the Badgers won the 200 free relay.

Instead of "On, Wisconsin," which was heard when the Badgers claimed the 200 medley relay on Wednesday, the 200 free relay team of Beckie Thompson, Maggie Meyer, Kelsey Gergen and Ruby Martin walked out to screeching first notes of "Jump Around."

Senior Sara Goff claimed credit for getting the switch made, but it made for a cool scene no matter who was behind it.

This morning, the Badgers will compete in the prelims of the 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back. The prelims for 3-meter diving are scheduled to being at noon.
