Wisconsin's history in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge

Wisconsin has played in each of the previous 10 Big Ten/ACC Challenges, owning a 4-6 record in such games. UW is 3-1 in the state of Wisconsin during the Challenge and 2-1 at the Kohl Center. The Badgers' .400 winning percentage in Challenge contests is tied for second among Big Ten schools.

Here is a look at each of Wisconsin's 10 games in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge...

Nov. 30, 1999  |  at Wake Forest  |  Lost, 48-67
Wake Forest built a 32-14 halftime lead in the first year of the Challenge. This game also marked UW's first-ever game on an ACC floor.

Nov. 29, 2000  |  vs. Maryland (#13)  |  Bradley Center, Milwaukee, Wis.  |  Won, 78-75 (ot)
The Badgers scored a season-high 78 points, knocking off the No. 13 Terps in overtime at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee. Kirk Penney led UW with 18 points, including four 3-pointers. Head coach Dick Bennett would announce his retirement the next day.

Nov. 28, 2001  |  at Georgia Tech  |  Lost, 61-62
Thumbnail image for Overhead_Maryland.jpgBadgers built a 12-point halftime lead and then extended it to a 20-point second-half margin, before suffering a last-second defeat. The loss would put the Badgers at 1-4 in Bo Ryan's first season at Wisconsin, but they would rebound to win the Big Ten championship.

Dec. 4, 2002  |  vs. Wake Forest  |  Kohl Center  |  Lost, 80-90
Josh Howard scored 31 points (12-of-19 from the field) for Wake Forest. Devin Harris and Freddie Owens each scored 19 points to lead Wisconsin, which saw its 14-game home winning streak end.

Dec. 2, 2003  |  at Maryland  |  Lost, 67-73 (ot)
UW erased a seven-point deficit in final 3:00 of regulation and took a one-point lead with 12 seconds left on a Mike Wilkinson 3-pointer. Maryland would get fouled on a put-back and make a free throw to force overtime. Maryland then outscored the Badgers 12-6 in the OT period to claim the victory.

Nov. 30, 2004  |  Maryland (#12)  |  Won, 69-64
Wisconsin claimed its 34th-straight home win on the strength of 27 points from Alando Tucker. Sharif Chambliss, who finished with 15 points, stole the ball from Nik Caner-Medley as he went up for a potential game-tying 3-point attempt with four seconds left. UW's bench outscored the Terps' bench, 26-5.

Nov. 29, 2005  |  at Wake Forest (#24)  |  Lost, 88-91
Wake Forest's Justin Gray posts a career-high 37 points to overshadow Alando Tucker's 27 points. Wisconsin scores 10 points in the final 42 seconds, but the Demon Deacons go a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the last 27 seconds to clinch the win.

Nov. 28, 2006  |  Florida State  |  Won, 81-66
Alando Tucker returned from a severe poke in the eye to score 22 points in UW's most-lopsided win in the Challenge. Badgers score the game's first nine points before cruising to the win.

Nov. 27, 2007  |  at Duke (#7)  |  Lost, 58-82
The Blue Devils made 11-of-24 3-pointers in the Badgers' first-ever matchup with Duke. The Blue Devils would shoot .458 from long range, while UW connected on just .214 percent (3-for-14). Duke made 9-of-16 treys in the first half en route to a 48-25 lead at the break.

Dec. 1, 2008  |  at Virginia Tech  |  Won, 74-72
Trevon Hughes hit a leaning floater in the lane with 0.9 seconds left and No. 22 Wisconsin survived a furious rally by A.D. Vassallo (30 points) and Virginia Tech in the opener of the 10th-annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Marcus Landry led UW with 18 points while Jon Leuer scored 17 off the bench.
