She had three Huskies chasing here the entire way down the ice, but she stayed ahead, went to her backhand and beat SCSU goalie Nixon for the score.

A note about Prevost's short-handed goal. It ended a 29 game goal-scoring drought. The last time she scored before was Jan. 23, 2009 right here at the National Hockey Center. She had two goals in that game.

By the way, Ammerman's goal came after Windmeier passed from along her own boards to the right of Ruegsegger, up to Decker on the far boards. Decker made a move past on SCSU player, got down near the goal line and centered to Ammerman, who found room over SCSU goalie Nixon's shoulder.
