What is Coach Davis' expectations for Graff this year? He made a strong showing against ranked opponents wrestling unattached (losing only twice to oppoenents ranked in teh top 5 I believe)...

How set are the starting lineups for the year? Do these matches serve as wrestle offs?
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:11 Jessica
8:11
There are some weight classes that are up for grabs but this scrimmage is moreso to create matchups for the guys...my guess is the starting lineup will change a number of times before the first match of the season.

Ard with an escape and we're all tied up, 1-1.

I can't wait to see how these new upper weight class guys fill in for last year's national qualifiers!
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:19 Wally
8:20
The Badgers did lose two big guys off last year's team...Dallas Herbst and Kyle Massey. Both were All-Americans and were great leaders for the team the last few years. Massey is in attendance tonight.

8:22
Rutt got twisted up and calling for injury time.
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:22
8:24
[Comment From WallyWally: ]
Isn't Borlie the most highly touted freshman recruit coming in this year?
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:24 Wally
8:24
Borlie and Ard I'd say are the two most highly touted recruits out of the class but there are a number of good guys in this year's group.
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:24
8:25
There's going to be no decision at 184 lbs. with Rutt's injury.
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:25

We're onto the heavyweight bout and Bugenhagen has the 2-0 lead.
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:27
8:28
[Comment From WallyWally: ]
How does Coach Davis feel about this year's team balance? Does he feel we can compete for a better finish in the Big Ten or will the loss of Tanelli, Herbst, and Massi be too much?
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:28 Wally
8:29
I know Barry and the rest of the coaching staff is very confident in this year's team. They lose some good guys, but also add Tyler Graff and Trevor Brandvold into the mix, along with a few other redshirt freshman that will get some time. Also, Bugenhagen is looking like he could be tough at his new weight class.

Bugenhagen leads 3-1.
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:29
8:30
Bugenhagen trying for a single leg takedown...gets it...5-1.

[Comment From BuckyMattBuckyMatt: ]
How does Bugenhagen look with all the extra weight on him?
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:33 BuckyMatt
8:33
He looks very strong...his top half looks like the place where he put on most of the weight.
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:33
8:33
[Comment From WallyWally: ]
When is the third 157 match?
Thursday October 29, 2009 8:33 Wally
