Bridget Woodruff, Director of Student-Athlete Development
Bridget Woodruff was appointed Director of Student-Athlete Development in 2013. Bridget oversees all facets of the Office of Student-Athlete Development, she leads the Buckinghams: Student-Athlete Annual Showcase of Excellence planning team, serves as the advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and provides career development programming for all student-athletes.
Prior to her appointment, Bridget spent two years as the Assistant Director of the Office of Academic Services, and began with the UW in 2007 as an Academic Athletic Advisor.
Before coming to Wisconsin, Bridget was an Assistant Counselor in the Student-Athlete Support Services Office at The Ohio State University, where advised student-athletes and coordinated life skills programming.
Woodruff is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA) and the National Association for Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), serving as a member of the Strategic Planning committee for N4A.
Woodruff is a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she earned a B.S. in Athletic Training and a 2006 graduate of The Ohio State University, where she earned a M.A. in Sport Management.
Bridget is originally from Burlington, WI, and currently lives in Madison with her husband, Ray and son, Miles.
