How are my contributions used?
The University of Wisconsin Athletic Department is a self sustaining entity. Accordingly, the department relies on private gifts to remain competitive both within the Big Ten Conference and nationally. Unrestricted and sport-specific gifts made to the annual fund provide the opportunity to meet immediate funding needs including expenses associated with student-athlete scholarships which amount to over $10 million per year, facilities, travel, equipment, and other team related costs.
What are the deadlines for making a contribution?
Donors may submit a contribution at anytime; however, if a donor is interested in receiving the benefits associated with contributing to Wisconsin Athletics, please reference the Priority Deadlines page. Donors are encouraged to make their annual gift by April 30 each year as doing so will ensure priority for all benefits in that calendar year.
How do I maintain 'active' priority points?
You must be a donor to Wisconsin Athletics in the current calendar year, which begins January 1 and ends December 31 each year, in order to maintain active priority points. Priority points are updated six times per year and are available online at UWBadgers.com. Priority points are used in conjunction with annual giving levels to allocate all ticket, parking and special event benefits.
Can I receive a "refund" of my contribution if I do not receive a specific donor benefit?
The UW Athletic Department is pleased to recognize supporters who make contributions to its programs in part by offering donors priority for various ticket, parking and special event benefits. Since such opportunities can vary each year, contributions to the University are non-refundable.
