In 2009 the Office of Academic Services staff revamped the Academic Excellence Banquet into The Buckinghams: Student-Athlete Annual Showcase of Excellence. The Buckinghams is a formal event where student-athletes' academic successes are highlighted through the presentation of awards and honors. Additionally, student-athletes' talents are showcased through a variety of performances. The event is held each spring.
